Website Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Knight’s Car & Van Repairs website. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please stop using the site.

About us

This website is operated by Knight’s Car & Van Repairs, Unit 7, Kingston Business Units, The Rodings, Essex, CM6 1RP. You can contact us on 07939 622987.

Using this website

Content on this website is provided for general information about our workshop and services. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but we don’t guarantee that everything is complete, current or free from errors. Nothing on this site forms a contract for work on your vehicle.

Enquiries and quotes

The contact form on this website is an enquiry only. Submitting it does not create a booking or a contract. We will follow up to discuss the work, agree a price and arrange a suitable time. We don’t publish a price list, please call us for a quote and we’ll give you a figure based on your vehicle and the work involved. Any quote is based on the information provided and may change once we inspect the vehicle, we will always contact you before carrying out additional work.

Work we carry out

We carry out servicing, diagnostics, light body work and all mechanical works on cars, vans, caravans, trailers and motorhomes. If a job falls outside what we do, we’ll tell you and, where we can, point you to someone who can help.

Booking and vehicle drop off

Work is booked in advance. Please let us know the registration, make and model and a description of the fault so we can allow the right amount of time and workshop space. If you can’t make an appointment, please give us as much notice as possible.

Parts

We use quality parts appropriate to the vehicle and the work. Where a specific brand or a customer supplied part is requested, please tell us at the time of booking. We can’t guarantee customer supplied parts, and any labour to fit or refit them is chargeable. Parts ordered specially for your vehicle may be non-returnable.

Guarantee on our work

All work carried out at the workshop is guaranteed against faulty workmanship for 3 months from the date of completion. Parts are covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty. The guarantee doesn’t cover wear and tear, misuse, accident damage, or faults caused by other work carried out elsewhere.

Diagnostics

Diagnostic time is chargeable. Some intermittent faults take longer to trace, and in those cases we will agree further time with you before continuing. A diagnostic charge covers the investigation, it is separate from the cost of any repair.

Payment

Payment is due on collection unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing. We accept all methods of payment, including card, cash and bank transfer. Vehicles remain our property lien until the account is settled in full.

Collection and storage

Please collect your vehicle promptly once we let you know it’s ready. Vehicles left at the workshop after that may be subject to a daily storage charge, and we may exercise our legal rights to dispose of a vehicle left uncollected for an extended period after written notice.

Vehicles on our premises

Vehicles are left at the workshop at the owner’s risk. We take reasonable care of every vehicle in our custody, but we ask that you remove valuables and personal belongings before leaving it with us. We aren’t responsible for items left in the vehicle.

Recovery service

The 24/7 recovery service is subject to availability and location. Prices are confirmed at the time of the call before we attend, and payment can be made by card, cash or bank transfer.
